Proposed changes to Hwy. 242 raise resident concerns in The Woodlands

Many residents near Hwy. 242 and FM 1488 have voiced opposition to a proposal to widen a portion of the state highway. The residents on west 242 do not want additional lanes and residents on EAST 242 NEED them desperately to relieve the traffic congestion and accidents ! We also need the completed flyover that has never happened and David Memorial connection to 242 – all these requests fall on deaf ears wirh Texdot! They need to come sit and watch our side and tell us it isn’t needed we are ALREADY the corridor from 59 to 45 – the woodlands is worried about 242 connecting traffic from 1488 to 45. – we are already there with more businesses and subdivisions going in and adding more traffic! Wake up Texdot and do your job! And I doubt 242 has had 900+ accidents between 1488 and 45 on 242!
