Judge Amy Tucker was sworn in Friday after being appointed last month to fill the unexpired term of Montgomery County Court at Law No. 3 Judge Patrice McDonald. McDonald stepped down after 14 years on the bench for personal reason she stated in a letter to county commissioners. The court unanimously agreed during a May 25 regular meeting to appoint Tucker, who served under McDonald as associate judge, to preside over the court until the bench is up for election in 2022.
