More than 100 youth from around Montgomery County took part in this year’s World’s Largest Swimming Lesson at the City of Conroe Water Park, Friday, June 18, 2021, in Conroe. The WLSL event occurs once a year where participating groups take part in the same swim lesson across 48 countries. Since beginning in 2010, the event has reached 320,000 people and serves as a platform to help the global aquatics industry work together to build awareness about the fundamental importance of teaching children to swim to prevent drowning.
