Over the weekend a sinkhole developed on FM 1097 five miles west of I-45 on the westbound lane. It was just west of Point Aquarius and just about 100-feet west of Lone Star Storage. TXDOT has been out several times over the weekend to make temporary repairs. Montgomery County Deputies were checking it several times an hour as a vehicle that was hitting it was sustaining tire and wheel damage. Monday morning TXDOT contacted the contractor who originally repaired it last November and are working on an action plan for a permanent fix.
