A Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputy responded to reports of a car fire in the 25000 block of Needham Road in Porter. Upon arrival, he observed a vehicle fully engulfed and a male approached him claiming he started a fire near the vehicle but not in the vehicle. The male didn’t want to identify himself but once he was identified he was showing to have a driving while intoxicated warrant from Harris County, a stalking charge from San Jacinto County, and a harassment charge in San Jacinto County. He also now faces an arson charge. Jonathan Salt Hale, 35, of 10 Kings River Court in Kingwood was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he is being held with no bond.
