The Montgomery County Women’s Center has received an $8,500 check from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. The Women’s Center works on behalf of victims and survivors of domestic violence and DA Brett Ligon explained 85 percent of those affected are women. The donation came from asset forfeiture funds held by the District Attorney’s Office, according to the agency.
