Conroe residents and small commercial business owners will get a break on their garbage bill after Winter Storm Uri kept crews from running normal routes for three days. The $4.13 credit, about 25 percent, to all customers will cost the city about $90,000, according to Assistant Finance Director Collin Boothe. The Conroe City Council approved the credit during its regular meeting Thursday. The city contracts with Waste Management for the garbage collection and customers.
