The Willis Independent School District’s Board of Trustees has chosen the name for its new $23.5 million elementary school campus. The board voted unanimously Wednesday to name Elementary No. 6 after the late Eddie Ruth Lagway. The vote came after considering input from a community survey, a naming committee and over 100 name submissions that were narrowed down to 13 choices.
