At 8:18 pm Thursday a resident in the Lake Wildwood Subdivision called 911 to report a possible house fire. They reported it looked like trees first but then confirmed it was the house in the 9700 block of Bending Oaks. A second report then came in about possible four children trapped. Units from North Montgomery County, Caney Creek, and Conroe responded. The first unit on the scene reported heavy fire but that everybody had escaped the single-story home. Flames rolled out the roof as firefighters worked to knock the blaze down. Water had to be shuttled from several blocks away. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate.
