Caney Creek is heading back to the playoffs for the first time since 2006. Despite losing 66-19 against New Caney on Wednesday, the Lady Panthers (10-14, 7-6) clinched the fourth spot in the District 20-5A standings as Dayton lost to first-place Kingwood Park. That gave Caney Creek a two-game lead over the Broncos with one game remaining.
