Sunday morning as Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Stein was on routine patrol he saw a box sitting on the edge of the roadway in the 13700 block of Willis Waukegan. As he drove by a small head popped out of the top of it. The deputy went to investigate and inside found seven puppies someone had dumped. Stein contacted Montgomery County Animal Control who asked him to transport the pups to the Sheriff’s Office where they would meet him. Word soon got out of the find and that’s when Deputy Martinez arrived after making a quick stop for some puppy food. The puppies were taken to Animal Control where they will be put up for adoption. The Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone with information on who dumped the puppies to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
