By the time he retires in mid-June, William Harness will have been the police chief for the Conroe Independent School District for 26 years. As Harness prepares to step down at the end of this school year the CISD Board of Trustees have chosen his successor in Capt. Matt Blakelock. The board made the announcement at its regular monthly meeting Tuesday night.
