At about 6:30 pm an 18-wheeler tractor driven by Michael Evans of Houston pulled out of a private drive on FM 3083 between Jefferson Chemical and Loop 336. As he traveled several hundred yards northbound on FM 3083 79-year-old Kenneth Tierling, of Conroe, was northbound at a high rate of speed in a Lincoln passenger car, hit the rear tire of the truck. The Lincoln traveled over the wheel and went airborne. A Leticia Cruz who was southbound just blocks from her home was in a Toyota van. She saw the Lincoln flip several times before rolling over the top of her van. She did not even suffer a scratch. However, she did say the worst part was not able to see out of the vehicle with all the airbags deployed. The Lincoln continued to roll ejecting the driver. Caney Creek Fire responded along with MCHD. The driver of the Lincoln was pronounced deceased on the scene. Montgomery County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Spikes responded to the scene for the inquest and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. DPS investigated the crash and was able to view several security cameras that showed the entire incident.
