Former Conroe councilwoman Marsha Porter had a substantial lead over opponent Kelley Inman in her quest to get back into city politics based on early voting results Tuesday. Porter, who also served the community as a Conroe ISD coach, pulled in 1,223 votes (63.24 percent) with Inman garnering 711 votes (36.76 percent) in their bids to fill the unexpired Position 5 term of newly elected Mayor Jody Czajkoski.
