About 5:45 am a Montgomery County Patrol unit was involved in an auto-pedestrian fatal crash on I-45 southbound between South Loop 336 and Crighton Road. At this time the deputy is not injured. Conroe Police are working on the crash with the assistance of DPS. The freeway will be closed for several hours. Traffic is very heavy on the southbound feeder with freeway traffic backed up to League Line Road. Units are en route to direct traffic at Crighton Road. Due to this FM 1314 is being used as an alternate and is backed up from SH 105 to Crighton Road. South Loop 336 eastbound is backed up from Sgt Ed Holcomb to the freeway. We will update as we get additional information from Conroe Police.
