NO INJURIES IN MAGNOLIA POLICE CRASH

Just before 2 am a Magnolia Police Officer was attempting to make a traffic stop on Buddy Riley Drive. He activated his emergency equipment as he traveled toward FM 1488. As he got behind a Ford Ranger and began to pass it the driver of the Ford, thinking he was being pulled over turned left into a parking lot. As he did he turned into the patrol unit. The officer, with heavy damage to the patrol unit, was able to keep the vehicle under control and back onto the roadway. The Ranger crashed into the woods. There were no injuries. The vehicle the officer was attempting to stop did stop. S&B Towing removed both vehicles from the scene.
