FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Lake Creek clinches playoffs; New Caney rolls

New Caney rolled to 48-13 road victory over Caney Creek in District 8-5A (Div. I) action Friday night. It was an important win for the Eagles (4-3, 3-2), who jumped up to fourth place in the standings ahead of the Friday games in the district. New Caney has games against Waller, Magnolia West and Magnolia remaining.
