In the same room where the late Mayor Toby Powell attended so many functions as a city leader, his life and contributions to the city were remembered on Thursday night. Powell passed away of cancer on Sept. 12. The sixth floor of Conroe’s City Hall was the location for an event organized by the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County and Quest Engineering that celebrated Powell’s life and recognized Native American Heritage Month.
