Voters elected to welcome new faces to the Willis Independent School District’s Board of Trustees on Election Day. Three positions were up for election on Tuesday, including with four candidates in the race for Position 2. The position was set to expire this month. It was previously held by retired counselor and former educator Sue Ann Powell, who served for three terms totaling 12 years on the board and did not file for re-election. There are no term limits.
