On October 12, 2020, at about 12:05 pm, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a local pool company employee who stated he found a male child floating face down in a hot tub at a residence in the 28000 block of Beth Marie Dr., Magnolia, Texas. At that time, law enforcement and medical first responders were dispatched to the residence. A Montgomery County Precinct 5 Deputy Constable was the first to arrive on the scene and began life-saving measures until medical personnel arrived. The 20-month- old child was transported by the Montgomery County Hospital District to a local hospital. While en route to the hospital the ambulance was involved in a crash with a citizen vehicle. The child was moved to another ambulance and continued to the hospital. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash involving the ambulance.
