Back for the 11th year, Market Street and Chabad of The Woodlands will be hosting the annual menorah lighting event on Sunday. Hannukah, also known as the Festival of Lights, is the eight-day Jewish holiday commemorating the recovery of Jerusalem from the Greeks and the rededication of the Second Temple. As the story of Hannukah goes, during the rededication of the temple there was only enough of the necessary oil for the menorah to burn for one day, but a miracle happened and the oil burned for eight nights.
