Conroe OKs $1.6M in contracts including 4 new city buses

The Conroe City Council approved more than $1.6 million in purchases and services Thursday including four new buses for the city’s transportation department. Transit — Conroe’s Transportation Department will add four fixed route buses and two ADA minivans to its fleet at a cost of $681,390. Tommy Woolley, director of capital projects and transportation, said local funds will purchase the vehicles instead of grant money.
