The Woodlands opened its season with a 25-14, 25-22, 25-17 road victory over former district opponent Klein Collins Tuesday evening. Clara Brower led the way for the No. 3 state-ranked Lady Highlanders (1-0), collecting 28 assists, 15 digs, six kills and four aces. Claire Arend and Reagan Whatley paced the attack with 10 kills apiece. Natasha Zorbas finished with four blocks, and Whatley added three. Jackie Lee collected a team-high 19 digs and added five assists, and Arend added 10 digs.
