A man is in custody in a Magnolia shooting case where the victim apparently traveled nearly 4 miles early Tuesday morning to a Whataburger. August Brooks, 26, of Parrish, is charged with the second-degree felony offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the case and assault on a public servant, a third-degree felony, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Montgomery County Jail records.
