Montgomery County commissioners approved the financing for just over 1,900 new voting machines Tuesday they expect to have them operational by the upcoming 2022 primaries. The court unanimously approved the $8.1 million purchase of the new machines during a Sept. 14 meeting to replace the county’s aging machines. The new machines will not be used in the upcoming Nov. 2 election.
