PLANTERSVILLE, Texas – The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance in identifying suspects involved in a copper theft that occurred early Wednesday morning. The incident took place between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on February 5, 2025, in the 14000 block of State Highway 105 East, adjacent to the Dollar General Store.Two to three small spools of copper were stolen, and a larger wire was set aside for later retrieval, according to the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office.
