TOMBALL, Texas – A high-speed chase involving a potential aggravated robbery suspect ended in gunfire and a dramatic arrest late Thursday night, according to the Tomball Police Department. The incident began near 915 Baker Drive and concluded in the employee parking garage of HCA Tomball.The suspect, a 26-year-old Hispanic male, fired multiple rounds at officers, prompting several officers to return fire. He then fled on foot up the parking ramp and jumped from one of the upper stories, sustaining significant internal injuries from the fall. Despite the intense situation, no officers or the suspect were struck by gunfire. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident, the department reported.The Tomball Police Department is collaborating with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office on the ongoing investigation. The department expressed gratitude for the support from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, including K-9 and Air Support units, and Precinct 4 deputies. The HCA Tomball Emergency Room was placed on lockdown for about an hour until the area was deemed safe. The department also acknowledged the professionalism of the staff at HCA Tomball during the incident.
