SPLENDORA, Texas – A routine patrol in Splendora led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle after an officer observed a traffic violation. The officer, using the in-car computer system, discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen, according to the City of Splendora Police Department.The officer requested backup before conducting the traffic stop to ensure safety. Upon the arrival of additional units, the officer safely recovered the vehicle and placed the driver into custody on charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (UUMV), stated the department.
