GRIMES COUNTY, Texas — A man that was arrested after a fight in Navasota has been sentenced to 35 years in prison. According to the Grimes County District Attorney’s Office, on Nov. 30, 2023, officers were called out to a Stripes convenience store in town to break up a fight. When the officers arrived, they were told that Jimmie Peavy Jr., the man sentenced, and another individual had been fighting in the parking lot.
