MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A Magnolia man was arrested following a road rage incident where multiple vehicles were shot at, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect, identified as 53-year-old John Dyer, was taken into custody after crashing his vehicle at the scene.On November 24, 2024, deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 4 Patrol Division responded to reports of vehicles being shot at near Hardin Store Road and Trailwood Estates Drive. Upon arrival, they found Dyer’s vehicle crashed at the intersection and detained him immediately, stated the source. Detectives from the Homicide and Violent Crimes unit interviewed Dyer and several victims, determining that Dyer, driving a gray Ford F150, had intentionally rammed the back of a victim’s vehicle before firing multiple shots. The gunfire struck the victim’s vehicle and two others traveling in front, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.Dyer was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and is currently held at the Montgomery County Jail on a $50,000 bond, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
