SPLENDORA, Texas – A traffic stop on US 59 at Kingsport led to the arrest of a driver found with 131.7 grams of Vicodin, according to the Splendora Police Department. The driver, traveling from Houston to Louisiana, now faces serious charges.Officers initiated the stop after observing the vehicle speeding. During the roadside inquiry, reasonable suspicion was developed, prompting the request for a K9 unit. The Splendora Criminal Interdiction Unit’s K9 was deployed, leading to a probable cause search of the vehicle, stated the source.The driver is charged with Manufacturing and Delivery, classified as a First Degree Felony. Bond has been denied due to the driver being on parole for a previous offense involving the Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, according to the Splendora Police Department.
