Stolen vehicle leads to arrests of habitual offenders in Splendora

SPLENDORA, Texas – A stolen vehicle parked outside a hotel led to the arrest of two habitual offenders, according to the City of Splendora Police Department. The arrests were made on November 13, 2024, after illegal narcotics were discovered in plain view during the investigation.The Criminal Interdiction Unit, in collaboration with Texas DPS and the Pct. 4 Constable’s office, identified one suspect associated with the stolen vehicle inside a hotel room at the intersection of SH 242 and US Hwy 59. Another suspect was located in a separate room. The male suspect, a registered sex offender, was arrested for failing to comply with registration requirements. The female suspect was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine and other drugs. Both individuals were booked into the Montgomery County Jail without the possibility of bail, and the stolen vehicle was returned to its rightful owner, stated the source.
