After a rocky Week 2 for the Lone Star Conference, Week 3 definitely was an improvement as six teams came home with victories. It was evident after this past weekend that the LSC teams know how to fight and pull off gritty wins as numerous games were won by a single score or had a late come back. Even Western Oregon, who fell to FCS program Cal Poly was tied with the Mustangs till midway through the third quarter and were really giving it their all, falling just short as Cal Poly put up seventeen unanswered points in the fourth quarter.
