A downed power line near Lake Conroe killed a 59-year-old man and injured a 6-year-old boy and his grandmother, according to the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office. The North Montgomery County Fire Department was dispatched at about 8 p.m., when neighbors reported the man was lying on the ground in contact with a power line. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition, the marshal’s office said in a release. Montgomery County officials confirmed June 5 that he died from his injuries.
