Woman charged with arson after flames destroy Magnolia home, authorities say

A 30-year-old woman was arrested after a large home in Magnolia was destroyed by a fire early Sunday, Montgomery County fire investigators said. Authorities first responded to the blaze around 2:30 a.m. Sunday on the 28000 block of Nichols Sawmill, where firefighters found a 6,800-square-foot home engulfed in flames. The woman, who was not identified by authorities, was charged with arson after an investigation by the county sheriff’s office, the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office said on social media.
