Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies late Sunday were investigating a fatal shooting in Porter as a possible homicide, officials said. Deputies around 9:25 p.m. got a call about a suicide in the 23000 block of Holly Ridge Road and arrived to find a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s office. But preliminary evidence showed the case might be a homicide, not a suicide.
