Here are four road projects to follow in Conroe and Montgomery. (Courtesy Pexels) The Texas Department of Transportation is building a northbound frontage road on I-45 between FM 830 and FM 1097 in Willis, a project that was 29% completed as of a Feb. 1 update from TxDOT. The project was awarded to James Construction Group. According to TxDOT, crews are building a three-lane northbound frontage road, which is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023.
