MONTOGMERY COUNTY, TX — The COVID-19 pandemic led to thousands of our neighbors facing hunger – many for the first time. Players of the Conroe-based 11u baseball team, the Scrapyard Dawgs, saw the long lines of cars waiting to receive food from local food banks, and wanted to do something to help. And so, Hits for Hunger was created.
