MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — It is with great pride the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announces Specialist Steve Squier has received the Texas Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association’s “Officer of the Year – 2021” Award. This prestigious recognition is awarded by the TCPAAA to honor a law enforcement professional who has served law enforcement Citizen’s Academies to the highest degree. What makes Specialist Squier’s award so distinct is he is the first-ever recipient of this award coming from a Sheriff’s Office. Until this year, all previous recipients were members of municipal police departments around the State of Texas.
