A 36-year-old man with previous prison stays received a 45-year sentence Tuesday after being tried and found guilty of leading police on a chase through Conroe. Marcus Neal Meadows, of Conroe, was convicted in presiding Judge Vincenzo Santini’s 457th District Court by a jury for evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle, a third-degree felony. Jurors deemed his car a deadly weapon and handed Meadows his sentence, which he will have to serve half of before becoming eligible for parole, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
