CONROE, Texas – Looking to end opening weekend on a high note, the Colorado School of Mines softball team closed out their time at the DII First Pitch Invitational Sunday afternoon against Texas Woman’s. In an unusual set of circumstances, the Orediggers (0-4) and Pioneers (4-0) found themselves in a battle not just with each other, but the clock as well. Despite the best efforts of the teams to maintain a brisk pace of play, they were unable to meet the requirements for the game to be official by the pre-declared drop-dead time and as a result, the game was declared a “No Game”.
