MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A historic winter storm, named Enzo, swept through Montgomery County, bringing up to 2 inches of snow and causing icy conditions on elevated roadways and bridges. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing today, allowing all affected roadways to clear, according to the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.The county did not experience widespread power outages or resource strains during the storm. While freezing temperatures are expected to return tonight and tomorrow night, daytime temperatures will remain above freezing, minimizing further impact. Rain is forecasted over the weekend, but it is not expected to cause significant issues, stated the source.The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is currently at Level 2 (Limited Activation) and will return to Level 4 (Routine Readiness) status by 5 p.m. today. The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management expressed gratitude to partner agencies for their assistance during the storm.
