ROMAN FOREST, Texas – A highway dedication ceremony was held to honor the late Sergeant Stacey Baumgartner, who died in the line of duty on Father’s Day, June 19, 2016. The event was attended by local law enforcement and Baumgartner’s daughter, Chloe.The dedication of State Highway 242 as the Sergeant Stacey Baumgartner Memorial Highway was made possible by the Montgomery County Commissioners Court and the state, according to the Roman Forest Police Department. Baumgartner, who had previously worked with the Roman Forest Police Department and continued collaboration while with the Patton Village Police Department, was remembered for her service and sacrifice. The individual responsible for her death, along with that of young Adan Hilario Jr., had a history with law enforcement, including a prior arrest for driving while intoxicated, stated the department.
