Firefighters battle blaze at abandoned mobile home in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Firefighters from The Woodlands Fire Department were dispatched to assist Magnolia Fire Department with a structure fire at an abandoned mobile home on Red Oak near Branch Crossing. The fire was reported at 5 p.m. and crews faced challenges accessing the site due to an overgrown dirt path.Engine 105 and Truck 105 were the first to arrive and found the double-wide mobile home heavily involved in flames, according to a press release from The Woodlands Fire Department. Brush Truck 108 was called in to help clear a path to the structure, allowing firefighters to stretch hoses and quickly bring the blaze under control.The Montgomery County Hospital District and Needham Fire & Rescue/Montgomery County ESD#4 also assisted in the operation. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office.
