BEAUMONT, Texas – Entergy Texas crews have restored power to nearly all customers following outages caused by multiple tornadoes, heavy rain, and strong winds. As of 12:30 p.m., approximately 1,300 customers remain without power, down from a peak of 16,300 on Saturday, according to Entergy Texas.The National Weather Service confirmed that the tornado affecting Montgomery, Chambers, and Jefferson counties was an EF3 with wind speeds reaching 161 mph. Customers in the hardest-hit areas may experience delays in power restoration due to structural damage, but restoration is expected today if power can be safely received.Entergy Texas encourages customers to stay informed through various platforms, including the Entergy App, View Outages website, and social media channels. Safety tips include avoiding downed power lines, reporting them immediately, and steering clear of flooded areas. Entergy Texas, a subsidiary of Entergy Corporation, serves approximately 512,000 customers in 27 counties.
