ROMAN FOREST, Texas – A Roman Forest police officer is in stable condition at Kingwood Hospital ER following a crash during a high-speed pursuit on Cambridge Boulevard near Galaxy Boulevard. The officer was attempting to catch up with a black four-door car with a loud exhaust that had passed him at a dangerous speed, according to the Roman Forest Police Department.The incident occurred when the vehicle turned left onto Cambridge Boulevard and blacked out its lights, causing the officer to lose control where the road splits into a single lane. The officer reported that this same vehicle had passed him in a similar manner during previous traffic stops, seemingly to provoke a situation. The department is reviewing video footage for any leads, stated the source.
