Residents of Conroe ask city to approve animal welfare bid

Concerned residents in Conroe are expected to speak at City Hall this afternoon to ask the city to move forward with a bid from animal welfare nonprofit, Texas Litter Control. The organization presented a 2.5-million-dollar proposal that would include a TNR program for community cats (trap-neuter-release), an on-site low-cost wellness clinic for the public’s use, and would ensure access to 24/7 veterinary care for injured shelter animals.
