The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is aware of messages circulating on social media regarding potential threats, including school shootings, in our community. We want to reassure the public that we take every threat seriously and conduct thorough investigations. Currently, Montgomery County law enforcement agencies are actively coordinating with the administration of private schools and the Conroe, Montgomery, Willis, New Caney, Splendora, and Magnolia Independent School Districts, as well as local, state, and federal law enforcement partners. No credible threats have been identified, and there are no known active threats. We remain vigilant and will continue to monitor these reports and investigate to ensure the safety of our schools and community.
