On July 16, 2024, at approximately 6:41 p.m., deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency call reporting a shooting in the 300 block of Raypine Drive, located in Spring, Texas. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a male victim, later identified as 19-year-old John Dennis Holmes III, lying in the street near the rear of a black 2017 Nissan Rogue. Holmes had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.
