Suspect shot after firing at deputies during traffic stop in Montgomery County, officials say

PORTER, Texas — A deputy was shot at during a traffic stop Tuesday morning in Montgomery County, MCSO said. Investigators said the officer stopped a vehicle around 8:19 a.m. on Valley Ranch at Azalea in Porter. They said the passenger had a warrant for failing to stop or remaining stopped for law enforcement, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor in Louisiana. The passenger fired shots and then ran into a neighborhood.
